Chico Joins Global Climate Strike Rally Fri 9-20-19 11am-1pm

We are Indigenous led as the first people are the first enviro sheroes and managed the land better for thousands of years before the colonizers. This wisdom is the way forward as we work on restoring and protecting our county.

There will be an Art Build Sunday Sept 8th at 701 E Lassen Ave
Clubhouse 1-5pm, and we have Free tabling opportunities.
This will all be child & family friendly non-violent peaceful rally.

KZFR’s Ecotopia will be broadcasting live interviews from the rally to
the Peace and Social Justice program!
Each week a different live and local host will bring you the latest information on the status of peace and social justice in our community, nation and planet.

Facets we are working on.
We’re looking for local band to be the house band and provide Speakers the sound system. This will be a paid gig – $tbd.
Please send links to your music to if you are interested in performing. Preference given to bands with songs that relate to our shared planet and/or social justice, enviro justice, racial justice, criminal justice – all the justices!

Sunrise Chico will be holding daily Climate events everyday 9/20 to 9/27, which you will learn all about and can join. This not a one-day feel good event – more a way to connect with all the community work going on and choose your best match to help in any ways you can. We are all in this climate emergency together and the next decade is crucial as to whether we can survive the hottest climates that have ever been recorded on earth. #ExistentialCrisis

The Endangered Species puppets will join us. There will be aerial photography with we the people forming an image – a symbol of our vision of our adaptable resilient community!
