“Gandhi’s Gift” chronicles the Master of Nonviolence at the end of his life. Having led masses in nonviolent marches, Gandhi walks for unity and peace. The event serves as the local kick-off to A Season for Nonviolence, which is celebrated during the 64 days between January 30 and April 4, the assassination anniversaries of Martin Luther. King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi. It is an annual, international series of localized events to increase awareness of nonviolence.
“The Center for Spiritual Living is proud to host this special screening about Gandhi to launch the Season of Nonviolence. The world is still in need of learning and walking for unity and peace. We look forward to engaging in this Chico opportunity to learn together and discuss how we can use the same principles in today’s environment,” said Reverend Kathy Fernandes, Spiritual Co-Director of the CSLC.
